Wilderness First Responder
Wilderness First Responder has become the course recommended for outdoor professionals or anyone who takes adventure trips into the backcountry. If there is a chance that you will be responsible for extended, off the road medical care, than this is the course for you. We have been teaching WFR for over 12 years. It is the standard for Ocoee River Swiftwater Trip Leaders in Tennessee. Our course exceeds all National and Department of Transportation (DOT)standards. The average course is 72 hours. It can vary depending on your first aid and CPR background. Our WFR certifications have been accepted around the world and of course we keep the cost low. We want you to be able to take a professional, quality course that you can actually afford.
WSC has lead the way in making Wilderness First Responder the standard on the Ocoee River in Southeast Tennessee.
We have ongoing registration for classes which are conducted as we get enough interest. If you can not come to us, we would be happy to bring the course to you. Cost is $200.00 per person. Give use a call for information.
